Also, what was the deleted thing from Shaggy..?

Judge's comments regarding the CCTV footage suggest it was more than just a simple carry or anything like that with Flanagan.

“I have been given a detailed breakdown of that CCTV footage which shows that you assaulted this young lady not just once but on several occasions during that few minutes in the early hours, once involving your foot…

“This a prolonged attack according to the report of the CCTV, and it involves a kick. To me it is a category 2 offence and I think I am going to need a report.

“It is not that simple in domestic violence, they are in a relationship and presumable in love, yet this young lady has been shown a significant degree of violence.”

Will be back in court on 17th for sentencing
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Do we think he will be sacked? I agree he should be.

I don't know. I'm not really bothered but presume there will be some formal HR procedure that will determine it. Happy to accept their informed judgement.

He should be to be fair given the words 'prolonged etc' as opposed to it being a 'polished-up assault'........and the club would be well within their rights to do so.
I'd say leave it to the experts and the club's legal team once a sentencing is handed down.

Someone else will pick him once the contract thing is sorted out if it does happen anyway. Probably in the Championship, ironically enough.

Not like he'll be a big loss to the team, just sack him

I don't think that can be the criteria really

I wasn't saying it was, mearly pointing out that if he's sacked, it has zero impact on the squad- although, if it was Salah, would people be saying sack him?

So are you basing the decision to sack him based on his value to the team?

                          See above post

But i do think there would be a hell of a lot less of the "sack him" chat if it was Salah

Fair point, and unfortunately one that I suspect would be proven right if it had been the case.

It's a grim reflection on us all and football in general (clubs, supporters etc) but no. Me included.
