22 years. There are things about that day I remember as if it were yesterday. I escaped the crush by the skin of my teeth. My mate was not so fortunate and ended up in hospital where I witnessed a priest revealing information to the waiting relatives/ friends describing a body trying to identify who the poor soul was. It was a terrible day. Another thing I recall well was arriving back at the cars dazed and confused we were taken in, all ten of us, by a young local couple, Fran and Graham, who made us tea.
Fran sat on the stairs with a list of our names and telephone numbers and got through to all our mums one by one. They had a young baby daugter who would be in her early twenties now. We all went back to Hillsborough on the following Wednesday to pay our respects and lay a wreath behind the goal at the Leppings Lane end.
We called in on the young couple too with flowers and a shirt for the baby. There were a lot of heroes that day. That couple were amongst them. Justice for the 96 YNWA.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Each individual story really captures the heart. No matter how long or short. Thanks for sharing mate.
It is so weird, you are drawn to the stories but at the same time you feel the need to pull away and stop reading.
These hard times is what has made Liverpool fans the most special and passionate in the world.96 Never Forgotten
