I never thought he'd go back at the highest level like that and do what he's doing. He's just tailor made for this club, takes the pressure so well, has a smile on his face all the time, takes the piss out of managers/press/interviewers. He's been absolutely brilliant.

Thing is. IIRC, in games against both United and WBA literally no more than 2 minutes after Cole has been on the pictch he's given the ball away and we've gone on to concede.. The fact that Kenny trusts a 19 year old that is just back from an injury with not a lot of game time really does show how far Cole has regressed.

mixed feelings about this one. obviously the performance was really gritty and workmanlike and the way in which we got the point was just amazing. taking 2 points off arsenal obviously makes it easier for utd to win the title.

thought the young lads flanagan and robinson were excellent. robinson in particular looks a real prospect. the way he handled walcott was excellent and his pace was really good too.

lucas was immense as was spearing. kuyt had another good game. was a bit disappointed with carroll and suarez today, even though we were under pressure for long periods of time when we had the ball those two didnt make the best use of it.

have to mention skrtel who was very good again no doubt our best defender this season.

I thought the two young full backs did well, I thought Spearing and Lucas were great again (yes I know Spearing gave away the pen).

When are we going to get some luck with injuries though? BTW what's the news on the injuries picked up back Carragher, Aurelio and Carroll?

I think Shelvey will develop into a good player.

he's being slaughtered on the liverpoolway by some of the posters on there. needs to work on his athleticism and decision making.

its gonna be tough with spearing, lucas, gerrard, meireles and gerrard also vying for those two or three midfield slots. he's still young and has time to develop his game.

He's became the new whipping boy, we always have one! Been going about his business and slowly getting back into some really good form, still not quite the monster of a couple of seasons ago but looking like he's on the way.

Liverpools only problem is that our best players this season are the ones who help stop the goals going in. The players coming through the Academy have been the same type of players. Mind, that's been down to a bit of an injury crisis at the back.

Think it's obvious where we need to spend.

Our lack of width in attacking areas was almost offensive today. Shouldnt have been allowed to be shown on daytime tv.

Shelvey is one of the most unathletic looking footballers i have ever seen. IMO he has looked a bit medicore but it's very early days, he often gets pushed out on the right which clearly is not his position, anyways Kenny really seems to like him, personally i get the "Oh Crap" feeling when he comes on.

Sure give him time and see how he progresses.

It's easier to produce defensive players than attacking/creative ones.

He had some good games under Roy in the Europa League. He's done okay in some games. I wouldn't say he's had a really bad game, just very average. Generally when you make a sub you want someone to come in and have a positive effect on the game.

He had some joy today on the right and could have had a tap in as well had Suarez squared it.
