Thought both of them were penaltiesOriginally posted by Kenneth View PostJust watched it again on MOTD2
that wasn't a pen
Crazy game and all due respect to Kenny. The way he dealt with the Carragher injury and the way he dealt with Wenger was just perfect.
Lucas' for the simple fact that Eboue didnt even need to ****ing touch him, its a basic fundamental rule of defending, player going away from goal and all you need to do is shepherd him away from goal not blunder in to himBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Not having a dig at anyone but I don't think we've had a manager who's this good at the human side of managing a team with out more recent appointments. It seems like an oldschool approach when you look around the league these days. It's great.
Kenny's man management skills have always been fantastic. Its criminal if he doesn't get the job in summer IMO, If we bought three or four (at least) first team players in the summer transfer market and we have Kenny as our manager at the start of next season, I'd fancy us for the league, let the manc's have number 19, 'cos soon we'll be on number 20

Very boring and tedious game but still our lads deserve all the credit in the world to come away with a point.
I thought Lucas and Spearing had a very good game. Very proud of kids, Flanagan and Robinson played superbly for youngsters without any premiership experience.
Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt were average at best but without proper linking from the midfield and width we were completely disjointed upfront. Certainly that is where money needs to be invested in the summer.
Pepe saved us few times (it will be very tough to replace him if he goes) and Skrtel and Carra had very solid performance today.
Few negatives.
Raul was very unconvincing and the more he plays the worse he looks. Sure this is his first season and he played quite a bit this year in all competitions including for his national team but to me he seems to be regressing but in honesty we have to wait until next year to properly judged me.
Finally Jonjo. He is a very young player and he was injured for the long time but I still haven't seen anything from him to think that he can make it at this level. Very little productivity and the lack of pace is very worrying. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I'm not his biggest fan so far.Last edited by Mostar; 18-04-11, 02:16 AM.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Short excert from Henry Winter's match summary report.
Liverpool’s staff, players and fans loved the denouement. Carragher emerged from the dressing room, bruised and barefooted, to celebrate. Dalglish hugged his players, particularly youngsters like Spearing. Dalglish also made sure he consoled Jack Wilshere and Theo WalcottMember #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

said something similar earlier after match, was surprised it was ignored, but you are right he was quite unselfish in his encouragement to those in earshot.

Out of interest, anyone know how many of the pens we've conceeded were from fouls by Kyrgiakos? Thinking back it seems like it might have been quite a few of them....@OptaJoe Opta Sports
7 - Arsenal & Liverpool have conceded a Premier League joint-high of seven penalties apiece this season. Rash.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
