    Dilema

I watched the game in the pub yesterday, when we give the penalty away I wasnt bothered , I wasn't bothered when van persie put it in either infact I wanted him to.

Then we got a penalty and derek smashed it in half the pub cheered the other half never

My hatred for utd is out weighing everything at the moment , they will now win their 19 title and we won't hear the f'kin last of it.

What camp are you in? It nearly resulted in a scrap in the pub, when I asked some lad why are you cheering ? UTD have won the f'king league now

He replied don't ****in care just want us to win etc.....

We are gonna finish 6th our seasons finished its nice to see good performances going in but as regards the season meaning anything throphy wise its finished

I wanted us to lose to Chelsea last season and even fell out with my Dad and his Manc mate about it, but yesterday posed no such difficulty. Arsenal have blown it with their usual choking and even if they'd beaten us yesterday they will blow it elsewhere further down the line.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I don't really care about the 19 thing any more. Well I do obviously, but it's become such a big thing it seems to override the actual football.

Kenny has reinvigorated my passion and I want us to win every game now, whatever the consequences. We need to concentrate on ourselves not anybody else, and that is exactly what Kenny will be instilling in the players.

I'm still hopeful - Manure have more difficult games coming up... I'm going to a massive Asenal fan from now on - pity Wenger makes it so hard to to like them.

I always want us to win, I still thought there was an outside chance of us getting 4th if we'd won. Arsenal will bottle the title challenge anyway, they're losing their form, so many times in recent years they've blown us away at their place, I didn't think that they were in danger of doing that yesterday. If that had happened I wouldn't have been too upset if we'd lost and an in-form Arsenal were hunting Man Utd down, but that isn't the case. They aren't getting near the title IMO.

Yep I agree with this. I don't care about United's number 19. I get the feeling that they won't hold that record for too long anyway.

We're coming up the hill folks!!
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Is anyone else wondering how different things might have been if Kenny hadn't spent 20 years away from us?

I posted similar before the game. Then I said a draw would be the worst result as it would **** up both us and them. A win for either would obviously have meant the respective targets were still possible.

But I'll level with you, when we got that penalty I was delighted and cheered loudly when we scored. After seeing the lads battle so hard for 100+ minutes I was delighted they got some kind of reward, even if it means we will in all likelihood now have to settle for 6th.

To guarantee finishing above us City need just 9 points from 6 games. Spurs need 12 points from 7 games. If both collapse it would be incredible.
                Forwards.......

Arsenal should have been a few points clear of the SCUM heading into yesterday's match anyway. The ARSE have no heart, no bottle, yesterday's match has nothing to do with the SCUM winning the title. The challenge for us to get the title back ASAP and to the top where we belong.

tbh. I think it might be a good thing for us to loose the 'no. 19 curse' by the scum overtaking us. It has been a huge weight on our shoulders the last ~20 years and especially the last 10. Getting that pressure away and being able to focus on the footy and reestablishing the team will be good.

And I have a feeling that Fergie will stop when they overtake us, that his passion will be that bit less and it will leave the scum with a new manager wondering how he was bloody able to get that squad to perform at that level. Ferguson is probably the best manager in the world atm., or at least in the top-3, and if he leaves I believe utd will have a very hard future with their economy and all considered.

I'd rather we get back in to europe next season than maybe/maybe not hope Arsenal stops ****ing up, which I very much doubt they will.

In a way I'll be glad once they take the record. I think its been a millstone round our necks for too long. Plus, gaining a point in dramatic fashion like that is the sort of result that help us build a run of results and form.

It'll also be an extra incentive over the next few seasons to reclaim the record

Fight to the end. Bring back belief and confidence. That was our point we won not two points gifted to United. Rather we lost again, away to a team in the top four when we’re not? As Kenny would say, ‘awr piss off’.

The arse are unbeaten in the league in 13 games, but 7 have been draws; they have royally ****ed up their own chances. LFC should concentrate only on themselves & yesterdays performance, along with the remaining fixtures should be a springboard to greater things next season.
If the mancs win their 19th; so what to be honest they have been so dominant for 20 years that they should have overtaken us years ago........

                              It's a no brainer.

If you care more about how a rival does than about your own team then you post on a site like Red Cafe and refer to your enemies as "dippers".

Otherwise you reluctantly accept what's about to happen, hate the filthy scum with a passion and look forward to next season when we achieve numbers 6 and 19 respectively.
