When you see the pitch for the first time and hear You'll Never Walk Alone being sung, it kinda gets you. I was an adult when I first went and was knocked out when I saw the pitch as you walked through the entry to the stands. I was in Anny Road for my first game.

My uncle came with me to the Chelsea game on NY Day 2005 where Xabi had his ankle broken and Joe Cole scored a **** deflected winner. Some atmosphere that day. He was choking it back during YNWA. He was mid 50's for his first visit to Anfield. He'd followed Liverpool his whole life. He adored Shankly - his dad was the spit of him.

Oh I know YNWA will have me in tears. My best mate who I happen to be catching up with tomorrow should of been at Hillsborough all those years ago but didn't go because it was somebody's 18th birthday... mine and he came away to where I was!

Both hotels are full as are most. Looking more likely it will just have to be an early start on Sunday to drive over in time for the 9am breakfast.
Why not stay over on Sunday and head out that night? It's a lot cheaper hotel wise and a public holiday on the Monday anyway.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                    Great for you!
One of my friends turned 40 last fall and his girl friend bought him a ticket for the United home game - he's actually not a Liverpool fan but he has always dreamt about experiencing the atmosphere at Anfield.
He called me after the game - totally over the moon and admitting that he had tears in his eyes during YNWA

I just hope someone has a cunning plan

My colleagues/staff at work have bought me a hospitality package for my 40th last week for the Newcastle game with breakfast before the game and food after the game.

What I was wondering is, of those of you who have already been on one of these, what are they like?
Hope you enjoy it mate. When YNWA is played before the game, the hairs always stand up on the back of my neck.

I haven't been for a few years now but now Kenny has bought my love back, I'm definately going to get up next season.

Enjoyed a corporate jolly at West Ham in Feb, that was a great day, less the result.

Now there's a thought although I am also considering going to Chester for the Saturday. Been out there once before and had a good night. Reminds me a bit of York.

That's exactly what I'm expecting to happen and I think it will get a tad emotional.

I've been to Anfield 3 times now on separate trips over from Aust.

The 1st was a CL match where I sat near Houlier and YNWA felt like a solid thud to my chest. Absolutely unbelievable sensation and never felt any thing like it since.

The 2nd time I sat with my lad in the Kop and it never seemed as loud, as I was a part of the noise and it was all around me instead of it coming at me from one direction.

The last time I sat in the Annie Rd end on a boxing day and it seemed quite lame really (as much as it pains me to say that). We weren't playing well leading up to the match so that may have had a bearing on it too.
