                                remember in another thread someone went on about how the press have a narrative and use events to fill it.

                                well the narratie about carroll is that he drinks and misbehaves hence the story. There is no such narrative about pepe etc etc.

                                to be fair to the press he has in the past given them reasons to form that narrative and i cant remember any coach telling pepe he shouldnt drink.

                                Its up to Carroll to somehow break the narrative. If he doesnt get in trouble then eventually there will be another target for the press. I have no problem with him having a pint, but he has to expect this for a while at least.
