@ rudo from other thread:
Its not the service but. He just kinda stood in the middle of the pitch. He was practically in Lucas' way as Lucas tried to get the ball moving.
Carroll should have been busting a gut to get up the top of the pitch. It doesn't matter what the score is, a striker always wants to score especially if he is coming off the bench because he has more energy and wants to prove he deserves to start.96 Never Forgotten

Well yeah fair enough dude, maybe Carroll's movement could have been better but even at the best of times Carroll isn't one for moving around the pitch like Suarez. He's a central striker and a box man.Originally posted by Fernandinho View Post@ rudo from other thread:

I dunno, maybe he could have done more.
Still think he'll be a beast of a player for us next season when he's fully fit and firing

I just found it a bit surreal. My olds were watching it with me and even they were asking me what he was doing just kinda standing there. Its really worrying because he really could be a big failure or a big success and we need to nurture his personality, especially considering the fact that he may have not wanted to leave Newcastle...
Without wanting to sound knee jerk it could be a turning point for the worse, especially with a long winter coming...96 Never Forgotten

He'll be the beast of a player only if we bring in some wide players, improve the midfield and provide him the similar or better support than what he had at Newcastle.Originally posted by Rudo View PostWell yeah fair enough dude, maybe Carroll's movement could have been better but even at the best of times Carroll isn't one for moving around the pitch like Suarez. He's not type of a player that can make a difference and carry the team on his own.Last edited by Mostar; 01-05-11, 02:27 PM.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Its ridiculously knee jerk, the first thing he did was a great take down and lay off. The game was dead.Originally posted by Fernandinho View Post

This may sound harsh but it wasn't the best of performances, but a great result.
Lucas and Spearing are forming a great partnership in the centre of midfield. Kuyt was effective again, he's on a great scoring run at the moment, he's benefited hugely from Suarez arrival. Maxi's goal was perhaps a little lucky but he's finally getting goals for us, and is worth keeping even if we bring in players in the summer.
I thought that Flanagan showed his inexperience today. Games are going to get more difficult for him now, as teams are expecting him to play and have done their homework on him, and can target his weaknesses, which is what you would expect any experienced opponent to try and do.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
