I found the link:Originally posted by Mostar View PostWould like to see that report that wages from previous years are excluded from financial accounts.
See this Tomkins article that explains well the FFPR..
I also included few tables and graphs to show the Cityh financials and potential impact of FFPR.

I'm not sure if what he says is correct or not, but if it is it could undermine things a little for the next couple of years. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I didn't know that, interesting...Originally posted by Mostar View PostCityh does not own the City of Manchester Stadium, which is rented from the council on a 250-year lease. The rental payments are based on a formula whereby the club retains receipts up to the 34,000 capacity of Maine Road, their old ground, but has to pay 50% of any revenue above that to the council. This basically means that City do not fully receive the benefit of higher attendances, as it just means more rent paid to the council.
There has been some talk that the club would seek to buy the stadium from the council, but recent reports indicate that it is more likely that they would try to renegotiate the terms of the lease to a flat fee. That certianly can play significant role on their abilities to generate match day revenue.
All in all things may not be so rosy for Cityh with FFPR just around the corner. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Ha ha, so everyone else did probably read the first post properly, wheras I didn't until I looked back yesterday and it was changed? Thanks indeed Forester.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostDid you notice that I corrected the very first reply to my post for this very reason?! lol
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I corrected the first reply because they started quoting the players we needed too and not where we'd finish if we bought no one else. Was muß, das muß.

Ok, I'm a bit confused now. But at last I responded as intended to your question anyway (I thinkOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostChanged? I haven't changed anything.

Where we'd be next season would depend on what other teams do. If all teams had the same squads starting next season that finished this season, then we'd easily be in the top 4 if not challenging for the title.
There will be signings though. Recently, I think we'd be OK without signing another striker in the summer.
I think with Suarez, Carroll & Dirk we've enough for 2 up top or 1 up top with a stong supporting cast, leaving money to be spent elsewhere.*************************
