We definitely won't get anywhere near £50 million now. We just have to put our foot down, dig our heels in. If Luis wants to play hardball, Ayre and the board have to grow a set and smash that hardball back into Luis' court.

That's assuming only one club are interested in buying him, I find that difficult to accept. If a footballer with Suarez's ability becomes available then clubs will be interested. I think other clubs will have been watching and waiting.

Because one club have offered £40m for him and we've rejected their offer. He's now on the market for £40m+ and being one of the best footballers around there will be interest in purchasing him.
