Don't agree on Gerrard being world class any longer as to be considered that you have to be consistently good and he, regardless if most want to admit or not, past his peak.

Imo He was world class at one point in time in the position he used to play. He is a good player in the position he plays now.

Gotta agree with Mostar I think

Remember Gerrard against Middlesbrough in 2008/09? First game of the season. That's what he used to be capable of. He's a shadow of that player now. He still has the ability but he doesn't (or isn't able to) push his body nearly as much now which was a huge asset of his game. He's matured and plays more intelligently now in his defence

Gerrard has just given cameo performances this season.
I'd like to have a look at Lucas and Hendo playing together and Gerrard playing more advanced or even coming off the bench.
Dread to think what state he'll come back from international duty in.

As far as I'm concerned to be world class you either have to be the best player in your position in world football or at least be apart of the debate for that title.

Suarez could be argued as being the best Striker around.

I don't see anyone else in our squad being thought of in that way, Sturridge is performing great at the moment but he's not close to world class.

I agree regarding Sturidge but the question was who is or who has the potential & I believe he has the potential.
