I believe it was a rushed signing. I'm sure Rodgers wanted to monitor Sturridge for longer, but with Suarez are only recognised striker, Borini injuted, I think he had to bite the bullet.

i'm sure it had more to do with the arrival of our scouting department with glowing reports. remember we had nobody in place for the signings of borini or allen.

Perhaps. I think if FSG had sanctioned the Dempsey deal, we wouldn't be watching Sturridge. Borini, Aspas, Dempsey and a want-away Suarez. Eek.

I'm pleased to see Suarez putting in 100% in every game so far. I don't care if he has an ulterior motive, it can only benefit us right now (perhaps not if he does move!)

i think if we are still up there come january then he's here till the summer

however even with champions league football he'll go

all this 'i want to play in the champions league' i don't buy - it's i want £40k extra a week and my agent wants his £2m bonus

so even with champions league, there will be something else - family not happy or something like that

I just hope we get a good full season out of him and secure champions league football next year so we have a better chance of replacing him.

I also believe, had we signed Diego Costa (approx £25m), we would have sold suarez to anyone including arsenal for £40m, giving us £15m profit. Once we missed out on costa, we went all out to make sure we kept Luis
