What was that magazine that only had him as 17th best in the world?

Aye. Crazy too that despite all that money Comolli & Kenny wasted in the end they'll probably come out easily in net profit just because of Luis.

Imagine that clause did exist and we were watching Suarez play like this for Arsenal?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

        it's crazy

        17 goals in 11

aguero is what 13 in 15?

and now with aguero out for a month, by time he comes back Suarez could be on about 25 goals

the thing is - it's not just his goals, its everything he's every where, he creates, he doesn't stop, he holds it up, he passes and moves, he takes people on, he plays it first time, hes just sheer top, top class.

Also i think i posted as a bit of an indication of how good he was, his fantasy football points last week

aguero was first on like 106 from 15 games
ramsey second on 100 from 15 games
Saurez was third on 99 from 10 games

now suarez is well out in front on about 130 points from 11 games, still four less than the other two

I genuinely think what Suarez is doing this season is reminiscent of what Ronaldo did for Man United when they coasted to the title in 2007-08. He won it for them single-handed that season. Finished up with 31 goals (Torres got 24).

I'm not saying he'll win us the league (the rest of the team isn't up to that), but what he's doing is akin to that level of performance.

Out of curiousity, what would you suggest his ‘football’ value is Dave when you take into consideration the recent fees of Cavani, Falcao, Hulk or even Zlatan?
Zlatan last went for ~£20m didn't he? Cavani for ~£55m. Obviously he should go for more than the latter - £65m-75m would seem a likely going rate using those values for comparison. I tend to think all of the top end fees are inflated by willy waving rather than the actual value to a team. I would certainly guess that you could get two excellent attacking players for £30m each.

One of the things that has crossed my mind is the enquiry going on in Spain about national support to the main clubs.

This could have some interesting consequences to the overall market especially for top, top level players like Suarez.

The kinds of super fees mostly paid by Real Madrid could be quashed, so that means the likes of Bayern Munich, ManYooscum, ****ty, the plastics etc will be the only clubs financially capable of paying +£80m for a player...

The old supply and demand rules obviously will apply but the scrutiny that is occurring right now might have some kind of repercussion to the valuations.

Good time to strike now with a record breaking salary and fecking long contract...
