I dunno, in previous contracts, maybe. However, with fresh terms in the contract he signed in July, perhaps his current contract may reflect a player a player coming to the end of his career.

I'm gonna get flamed for this but **** it. Love his play, love his skill, love his goals. His attitude towards the club & fans in the summer, on top of his "antics" gave me the right arsehole. I don't think it's a case of 'doing what the **** he wants', but more that he's taken his bollocking on the chin and applied himself on the pitch. There is no diving and he's curbed the back chat. How often have you seen him hacked down or for a dodgy call to go against him and he just gets up and gets back in position. He's much more reserved but not to the detriment of what he brings to the game. I think kudos to Rodgers and a doff of the cap to Suarez ... long may it continue.

He's hardly taking the piss out of us either, infact given his supposed wages and what we get from him you could argue its the club taking the piss out of him!
