Agreed. Keep him on the bench to avoid a humilating loss but let Aspas take some kicks off Oldham defenders. League campaign is the absolute priority this season.

Any news on the 'injury' Suarez has? Was it that cnut Meyler that caused it?

I think Brenno said it was a foot injury he had before the game yesterday. Probably one of the many terrible tackles he's had recently against him.

Bruising on the top of his foot I think after Chelsea kicked lumps out of him. I'm sure he'll be fine in time for the weekend.

Amazing to think he curled in another perfect trademark free-kick with a badly bruised foot

It's amazing that combined with being ludicrously skilful and talented, he is an absolute warrior. No greater warrior in the league than him. What a player.

You used the right word Shaggy, amazing pretty much sums him up. Even after all these years with us. Its like having Zola/Henry/Hercules in your team every week.

Amazing huh, tough as nails combined with jaw dropping skill.

He seems to be getting more creative too. His all round play is now majestic, some of the passes he picks out with the outside of his boot make me drool. He's a million times better than when he first signed for us and he was incredible back then!

Oh and that header yesterday to play Sterling in one on one It was like Shearer or Les Ferdinand in their pomp. He seems to have got better in the air too doesn't he? He seems to win most headers now against CBs significantly taller than him. It's incredible.

Yeah, the headers are crazy. Everytime I see a long ball to him I'm urging Sterling to run on as you just know Suarez will win the flick on header. But its not just him, Allen and Coutinho have suddenly become a lot better against taller players too.

Anyone remember Suarez's first ever touch for us in the penalty area? At the time I thought you cheeky *******. Don't get above your station.

Such a difficult skill and he makes it look so easy.

That bullet header from outside the box was astonishing. It was so unique a goal and so insanely difficult it should have got far more credit than it did.

I was in the Kop for that one and was perfectly in line behind it. The most amazing thing about it was the curl on it. It started off way outside the goal and curled just inside the post. A curling bullet header from the edge of the box. It was one of the best goals I've ever seen in the flesh.

The free kick goal was in exactly the same place as his goal v Udinese in the Europa league - same run up, same connection, same result.

Oh yeah, his house is still up for sale
