why should uruguay be allowed to appeal without LFCs buy-in. In reality, if that is increased to 6 months - from all football - then why should LFC be focked over again...

This whole thing is a joke to be honest. A sick one. I hope LFC take a new stance where we refuse to release players for international duties (or at the very least, make all our players pull out through injury - a-la ferguson). If a player can get banned from all football by FIFA, then why should we take the risk on it....

FIFA just making it up as they go along. They have bought into the whole danny mills malarky hook line and ****in sinker.... the cunts....

Another thing - i wouldn't pay Suarez for that period either. The clown. In fact, i would sign someone else and make Suarez pay his wages over that period as well.

Obviously I agree, he's a ****ing idiot and shouldn't have put himself in this position in the first place.
But are there any where the offender has recommitted the same crazy act with this regularity? It sucks, but he fully deserves this punishment... We don't, but that's the way it goes when you employ crazy people.

Personally, when the ban is over I would not add him to our Champions League squad as punishment for his actions.

Depends on the money we get and how the replacement does. There is also the risk of having him 20 games, before he gets his next ban. Will he be able to keep the quality if he has to restrain himself, especially in big matches. So many questions, so few answers. He certainly is a gift to any kind of media.

As I have said previously in this thread, the bite is being punished because of its shock factor, because you dont see it. But to suggest it is worse than deliberately headbutting or elbowing someone is madness.

I don't think it matters. He had a price before all this and he's still worth that price IMO, his worth on the pitch far outweighs the ban possibilities, for us at least. I think it's unlikely anyone will want to pay that price now so we have to decide if we sell him on the cheap or keep him til he redeems himself yet again and sell on the next upward curve.

It'd be the latter for me.

It seems incredibly harsh that we have been the ones who have taken proactive steps all season to help him with these problems and when he goes off to play for another team who don't do the same - indeed they actually indulge him as a national hero - we end up also getting punished. And arguably more severely.

That is no justice at all.

Or you could argue that he is a 27 year old adult who should not need such mollycoddling everywhere he goes.

If he can't be trusted to manage himself, why should anyone else take the rap for it?

I'm just really pissed off that this has affected us. The punishment is ground breaking in that regard, and completely without merit imo.
                      Oh I don't know.

That's the problem, IMO. It's Suarez who is banned, the fact that he plays for us seems to be irrelevent. The banning from ALL football is to stop us from picking the ruling apart to suit our needs

Nothing stopping Stevie and the lads popping over to Luis for a knock about after training is there - as surely FIFA cannot control people private lives.
