A ban from ALL football is pretty serious. He can't do what he's done for his entire life, what defines him. Its far more draconian than the FA ban.

Biting opponents leaves him fairly open for a full professional ban

All this talk of a massive amount of money PLUS Alexis Sanchez is craziness. We'd get a straight swap if we're lucky.

I don't think that the Uruguay FA have helped Suarez or his attitude in these incidents, not just in this case but in the previous biting case and the Evra case in particular they were very vocal in defending him. While I can kind of understand it, in this case as he was on international duty and it is related to them, they seem to be very much of the mentality that 'everyone is against him' and that he can do no wrong. Personally I don't think that helps the situation because I think Suarez buys into this rather than taking responsibility for his actions.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its absolutely outrageous that LFC have to suffer, its **** all to do with us. Give him a lifetime ban from international FFS, but don't drag us into it.

If this isn't appealed by us and reduced, hopefully we won't be paying him for those 4 months the ****ing idiot

I backed his for the racism and for the last biting incident but I can no longer support him after this one and it really guts me to say it.

How often must Liverpool back him to be let down again.

                    The boat/ship/tug has sailed.
I agree with everything you say .....but he's irreplaceable. He's one of the best 3 players in the world and, unless we can buy Messi or Ronnie (highly unlikely!), we will be weakening our team by getting rid of him.

I haven't got a clue what the owners' reaction to this mess will be and let's face it, they are the ones who will make the ultimate decision. Personally, I hope the boat/ship/tug you refer to springs a leak en route to Spain!

There are some complete dickheads about. So called football fan mate of mine (Chelsea Supporter) saying that its stupid that its a 4 month ban out of season, and that it should be postponed to the start of the EPL!!!!

He's an absolute idiot. I'm right in thinking that he's been suspended in each of the last 3 seasons hasn't he?

Yes he might be a brilliant player, but to be unavailable for long periods of a time what use is his ability?

The only thing we can be sure of is that we won't sell for a cut price. He costs what he costs. Pay up or **** off will be the response from the owners.

Straight swap for Sanchez (who is valued at 25m)? You're having a ****ing laugh. As if missing 9 games of the season (less in spain) is worth 70 odd million quid!

Laughable or not isn't the Fifa motto Respect? They had to act. An example needed to be set. If he was a player of any other club in the world we as one would be saying he's a dirty cunt and would appauld the ban. At times some on here seem to think the worlds against us. Its really not. He is an unsporting little **** who happens to be an exceptional footballer. For all his skill we still haven't won the league. Sell him, move on and let's go again. He has tarnished the good name of our club for too long.
I get that, and I don't think the world is against us.

But I do think the punishment is not appropriate.
                            Oh I don't know.

I agree completely. We could offer £100m for Messi or Ronaldo, even offer them £500,000 a week to come and they'd still turn us down. He's up there with them and he's here. You can't put a value on that.

Aye but I think he's gone, mentally, blaming the English press for all his problems and behaving like he can't take any responsibility for his actions. His proper value must be over80 million but all things considered I think 50 would be good business
