I don't often do this but I've read all the papers reaction to the hat-trick, and some other fans forums. The reaction has been, generally, "repulsive individual but that's a good hat trick"

If Suarez had finished like that all season we'd have 20 more points.
What i mean by 'like that' is finishing early, decisively, how many times this season in similar situations to his first goal has he checked back and tried to beat the last man before invariably missing.

Just adds to the frustrations, the biggest 'what if' season ever.
Suarez's form since his ban has been great and his goal return much, much better

If fairness his form was quite good at the start of the season, he clearly suffered when the Evra allegations were hanging over him. He's got 17 goals in 36 games (all comps), while the Evra stuff was hanging over him he scored about 1 in 10. You could imagine if he he had a full season without that Evra stuff hanging over him he would probably have about 30 goals.

Luis' goal record for us since he signed is now 49 games and 21 goals. Just shy of 1 in 2 and he's more of a 'forward' than an out and out striker/goalscorer. And there's no reason to think he wont get better next season. When you bear in mind the amount of posts/bars he's hit, the missed chances and the ban, those are some very impressive numbers.

If we can get Carroll scoring more consistently, or sign another striker who scores goals, we'll be in a good place.

Luis also has 10 assists in his time with us, so he's been directly responsible for 31 goals in 49 games for us.

also before the Evra debarkle he was 1 in 2 this season, went off the boil which I don't think anyone could blame him for.

Get a couple more players to chip in with assists/goals and we're not a million miles from where we need to be, obviously easier said than done !
