But if you put it this way, that's the same for many other clubs as well. Man U's defense and support for Cantona comes to mind.

We're 'moaning' not about his crime -- it's unquestionably stupid -- but about the unnecessary severity of his time. The embargo on all football activity, barring him from FIFA sanctioned hotels, making him FIFA's persona non grata.

I wouldn't be up in arms if he was a Manc, Chadrtc. In fact, I'd be lmao at how the Mancs have been f'ed over in all this and visiting Redcafe to hear them squeal.

So you think that the crime is worse than any other committed on the field of play ever? Because the punishment is that severe. It's unprecedented.

I'm excluding Cantona's kung fu kick as that transgressed the field of play.
        Oh I don't know.

Put it this way, nobody has ever committed such an act 3 times, so it is unprecedented.

This tiny corner of the Internet is practically the only place outside of Uruguay where people are upset at the ruling. Every neutral I've spoken to thinks he got off lightly, so I guess it must be everyone else who is wrong?

Anyway, I'm done on this subject... I'm completely sick of it to be honest. I suggest you voice some of this to reasonable folks outside this forum and see what sort of a response you all get.

Well, the "victim" doesn't agree with your assessment.

And I've chatted to a few people in real life (mostly non LFC supporters) and there is a concensus that the punishment is excessive. Heck, even Savage and Murphy said so on TV last night.

If you think a complete ban from all football, even training is warranted, then that's your perogative. But I'm not sure you're in the majority. In fact, I'm convinced that you're in a very vocal minority (just) who fifa have pandered to.
                    Oh I don't know.

Again... There is absolutely no way I'm in the minority on this. Amongst Liverpool supporters for sure, but not the rest of the god damned world.
