The punishment isn't excessive in general.. but it is harsh of his club, which happens to be LFC. Ideally we would have liked a longer international punishment and nothing impacted the club but once it is left in the hands of FIFA... anything can happen.

I think FIFA are on a charm offensive campaign as they are seen as corrupt and farcical, they wanted the World Cup to go smoothly without any drama. The Suarez bite happened & IMO because there an incredible reaction from the media.... they made a hasty decision which really and truly wasn't thought out.

Have to say though, Suarez really played into the hands of the British press. It was so ironic his comments days previous & then what happened against Italy. There was a lot of bitterness in the press IMO after the England vs Uruguay game & he gave them the perfect ammunition.

I have zero sympathy for the man.. the guy does have issues thats seem to translate into a randomly uncontrollable nasty streak, but LFC have been properly screwed over here

Thats it really. Liverpool have been ****ed over, so have Uruguay. But everyone seems to want to blame the games authorities, and not the bloke who cant control his teeth.
        *Except Michael, who died.

I disagree entirely. If Fifa were worried about making an example they would have banned him from internationals for 2 years, but they were more worried about protecting their revenue streams so ****ed us over.

Nothing intentionally aimed at us, just a side effect of corrupt ******s.

To be fair Chiellini doesn't look like he's disagreeing with the length of the ban but the fact that he's got to remove himself from all footballing activity including training with his team mates, which does seem a bit pointless. What's that meant to achieve? Apart from that everyone I've spoken to thinks the ban is either fair or lenient.

              Missing the point again.

Everybody blames the player. But many think the punishment is ott.
              Oh I don't know.

Yeah I don't think I've seen anyone not blaming the player.

It's just to me, a two year ban from international football would have made more sense than a 4 month domestic one, it shouldn't effect the club.

Everyone else seems to be doing that just fine. Nuggets from the press: "inhumane act of gross indecency", "bad rubbish".

Who hasn't blame him here? I'm pretty sure our initial responses were along the lines of "Suarez, you massive bell". In fact I say this even now!

Yeah, that's my interpretation of his quotes as well. The no training part if true is harsh but I have no sympathy.

I have no sympathy for Suarez in this regard, but I have every sympathy for our club. We get a half-fit non-selling asset, and we seemingly don't have a say in this.

Barca are more than willing to take him off our hands if we feel he isn't worth the trouble.

I agree 100%... Trouble is, if you employ mental people there's every chance they might burn your office down being mental.

Meanwhile Beckenbauer has his 90 day ban for dodgery lifted. Just like that.
