Yes Tony, it's called business, transfer business, been done this way for ages, and it's a game we at LFC play very well too when it suits.

Agree to some extent. However they take it to the extremes. As far as we know they've not even made contact with the club at this stage yet they've already:

- Apparently agreed terms with Suarez.
- Forced him to apologise in public before they make a bid
- Overtly praised him in a press conference.

It's pretty brazen tactics. They scream arrogance. They've got him wrapped around their finger before we've even sat down at the negotiating table.

Spot on. FSG IMO aren't the sort who'll be swayed by Barca and others playing games in the media, they'll have to pay either the release clause or give us Sanchez and at least 45m.

Dont get me wrong I think he might go slightly under the release clause but not the £20-30 million figures that have been mentioned.

If its a cash deal it will be very near to the release clause value

If its cash plus player then thats a situation I think Barcelona can possibly exploit but only if its some LFC actually want (ie Sanchez/Pedro)

Barca and Madrid are some puppies for getting their players to weigh in on the transfers, ****ers do it for every big transfer. Good plan though, get your players to fawn over potential targets and make them feel loved
