Benzema is one of few theoretically-attainable players (along with Reus and Higuain) I would consider a genuine Suarez replacement. Put him in the right environment, he'd be very good.

Nobody can be a like-for-like replacement for Suarez. We need a clinical goalscorer and we need to adapt. I trust Rodgers to find a system that will be successful whoever we bring in.

Certainly agree. But in most plausible scenarios, we're "replacing" Suarez with three or four different players all over the squad. If we're going to spend a big chunk of the fee on a single attacking player, Benzema would be one of the few it'd be reasonable to spend it on.

I don't think we are going to play with two centre forwards so why get Benzema? He isn't going to be interested in being Sturridges back-up.

Eh? Hes been fantastic for a couple of years now. Even in the Shadow of Bale and Ronaldo he was still probably one of Reals best players last year.

He had a poor end to the world cup, but in no planet is he overrated.
