Wouldn't consider selling Suarez at all because I don't think, at this moment in time, that we could replace him with anyone better.

He is wasteful at times and he has games where he's pretty poor (what footballer doesn't), but he's a ****ing menace and capable of real magic moments. I think he'll stay for a while yet as he seems to really 'get' LFC.

Done with selling our best players. Just a shame that we never got to see him and Torres up top together.

Yep, what we really need are some other attackers who can actually share the burden of scoring / creating goals. Sterling, Suso and Borini have tonnes of promise, but they're not there yet, and so Suarez remains by far our most important attacking player.

It's funny that CJ keeps making 'childlike' remarks and accusing others of the same - apart from the fact he's our best player and best goalscorer, Suarez plays with a childlike abandon that is so refreshing and enjoyable to watch.

IMO, Suarez struggles to score when he's playing against a tight, packed defence with no support / movement around him. He has to twist & turn so much to work an opening, he's not "set" to take the shot, or put any power on it. When he's got support & movement around him, he can run more directly at goal, or is able to move into position & be ready to take the shot much better. I think as this team gets used to each other & Rodgers' tactics, Suarez conversion rate will improve. So will the goals from midfield as well.

Great point this. I think we haven't utilised Suarez to the best of his ability yet. True, he missed a lot of chances last season but usually those were chances after trying to do much because of the lack of space. Rodgers tactics will grant him more time and space.

I agree with Shaggy, let's just take pleasure in watching our best player play for us. If he's sold and replaced by other players then we can judge at that point whether we think it will be a good move and later look back at whether we were right in our judgements.

IMO all this hypothetical wheeling and dealing is totally pointless. It reminds me of a certain someone who wanted Rafa to be sacked so he could be replaced by Mourinho - that was nothing more than a fantasy that was plainly f*cking idiotic then, as later events proved.

We're lucky to have Luis the same way we were lucky to have Xabi, neither of those players were/are replaceable in our current situation (no CL football, wage restrictions).

Having a player like Suarez in your team makes football great for me, amidst all the stuff that makes it ****. He may have his faults but he's exciting and loveable and I'd be more gutted losing him than I was Torres.

Torres was my favorite player and I didn't think I could like another Liverpool player so quickly and as much and then we signed Luis.

And this is what is slowly happening now. Norwich are a poor team but as we saw with Man Utd and City, we are applying Rodgers' philosophy and this in turn will mean that Suarez will be able to focus on those parts of his game that makes him the most dangerous.

Anyone that thinks we're in a position to buy someone of his quality is seriously deluded.

Surely the LFC strike rate of Torres is phenomenal and Suarez less so there? Suarez might well be close to the goalscorer Torres is now but I think claims that he is near peak Torres don't hold water.
