Lets be honest though, you do have to wonder that in this day and age of slow mo close ups and everything being over analysed why players think they can get away with it.

Suarez doesn't do himself any favours, if he just got on with the game instead of all the play acting maybe he would score a few goals.

        That yesterday was an embarassment.

Can't be arsed to read through all the pages but are some people really saying that Suarez is better than Torres was??

Torres was world class for us, arguably the best centre forward in the world for a period of time.
Suarez has never, not for 1 second even been the best centre forward in the Premier League.

Not saying Suarez is a ****e footballer, clearly he's not but there are no comparisons. Torres by a ****ing massive distance, and then some more again.
Torres played in a much better team though in a system set up to get the best out of him. He didn't look as comfortable in the Spain set-up when he wasn't the focal point of the attack. The opposite can be said for Suarez who looks much better for Uruguay. I do agree that Torres was still a much better forward in his first few years, but I also think Suarez has the talent to match him if BR can get the best out of him.

In his first season here, I don’t think there was a better player in the PL. He was excellent playing with Dirk, Maxi and Meireles.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Much though I agree about the diving, I don't really see the two things being connected at all. And Suarez has scored "a few goals" this season.

Not that its an excuse either, but I thought he was being kicked all over the place by Stoke's thugs... sorry, defenders yesterday. One doesn't justify the other of course, but is diving really any worse an offence in the game than deliberate, premeditated fouling is?

We need someone for him to play off IMO Torres would have been perfect for that and a hell of a pairing as well.

Seeing as we've got him at the club I'd like to see Borini start down the middle with Sterling and Suarez playing the wider roles and see how that goes, Luis likes to wander anyway and Borini to me seems to be a player to put the ball away rather than create

It really is very simple, there is no excuse for what he did yesterday, other times he's been going at speed and been clipped and gone over or whatever but yesterday was just embarrassing and it's 100% all his own fault.

If Suarez didn't take a blatant dive then we might be talking about the stamp by Huth or Bales dive but we're not because what Suarez did was pathetic and it has wiped out any slight semblance from other fans and media that we have been hard done by on other decisions.

Now it's well he dived, he always dives so you can't blame the refs for not giving him decisions when he is fouled.

And they would be right. He would be well advised to release a statement apologising for it and acknowledging he needs to change

It was such a piss poor effort at a dive, I actually thought it was a piss take when he did it.

I agree but look at the "Dive" yesterday, if he'd stayed on his feet there was a shot or pass on. It is funy how in all the reports today there is no mention of the stoke players playing the red shirt instead of the ball.

Huth set out to foul him at every opportunity until he got booked, which should have been a lot sooner. Had Suarez did the stamp and Huth the dive, I wonder what the headlines would have been today.

No, but they should both be punished.

Again, I'm not sure one is connected to the other, apart from via inept refereeing of course.

Suarez should have been booked, as should anybody else in the other games that took a dive.

Huth should not have seen the second half.

One set of actions (being a general fouling thug) should not result in the other (diving).
                      Oh I don't know.

There's no defence for the dive but the coverage is ****in annoying me.

MOTD2 last night. Bale's dive. All laughing about it, calling him a good lad, before one of them said "it's important to see the lighter side of football".

Suarez dive - they ****ing hammered him.
                        Thanks very much for being

Why bother, the press have made their minds up about him and he's an easy target to get stories out about, I don't condone the dive at all yesterday but what really gets to me is how he's singled out - there are so many worse divers than him in the league.

By coming out and apolgising will just lengthen the amount of time this current story is in the news, I notice there is very little being made about the stamp from Huth or the elbow from RVP which are far worse than the dive Luis made.

I wouldn't expect a balanced analysis from anyone on TV these days. A big reason why I don't watch it.

Honest question, does Suarez dive any more than Gerrard used to? Maybe I've got my rose specs on, but for someone who dives 'all the time' I honestly can't think of that many occasions. Most of the 'dives' I can remember is after clear contact but he didn't get the foul because he 'made the most of it'.
