What the actual ****? Van Persie has failed to score in four games for United in the league this season too. Is he **** as well? Carlos Tevez has failed to score in five too. Is he ****?
His goal return this season is fantastic. Some people are outrageously harsh on him.
Very probable he will go onto get around 20 goals this season, i bet at least half of them he will create himself of which there will be some world class goals in there too, But plenty of people will be complaining of the 20 sitters he missed.

You made out that him not scoring in 5 matches was somehow poor. It's ludicrous to expect strikers to score virtually every game as I pointed out.
He needs hep yes, no one would deny that, but he's doing outstandingly well on his own as it is

I was thinking about this yesterday....does he have to create his own because nobody else is on his wavelength? Or is he not on everyone elses wavelength. I know there's a wavelength problem somewhere anyway. He is fantastic at what he does but I'm not sure how great for the team he is as a whole.Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hingeComment

The answer's in here somewhere but I'll be ****ed if I can find it:I was thinking about this yesterday....does he have to create his own because nobody else is on his wavelength? Come on mate, he is fantastic for the team, no doubts at all. He just needs a bit of support in and around the box and he will be even more devastating and hopefully become clinical.I was thinking about this yesterday....does he have to create his own because nobody else is on his wavelength? Are you on glue? 6/9 league games is a brilliant return for anyone and only Ba and Van Persie have more. (7)I love him, and 6 goals in 9 games is a good return, but it still means in 5 of our 9 league games he's failed to score at all.
He's brilliant but he needs someone up there with him to share the burden of scoring. He shouldn't be the focal point of our attack and after January I hope he won't be.
The burden shouldn't all be on Suarez, but calling a rate of 0.67/1 good is underselling it badly.Comment

I didn't make out anything mate, I stated facts. What you drew from it is down to yourself.
Fact is he's on his own and is doing great but he's still managed to be extremely wasteful in some games.
All I'm advocating is he's not a number 9, he needs to be playing off someone a bit more clinical.Comment

You manipulated the stats to suit your agenda. When have you ever heard stats about the games players haven't scored in?I didn't make out anything mate, I stated facts. What you drew from it is down to yourself.

The fact is he's got 6 goals in 9 games (should be 7), and that's a brilliant start as far as I'm concerned.Comment

Dividing goals scored by games played doesn't give an accurate picture of a strikers goalscoring habits does it
Would we rather one who scores a goal a game or thereabouts or one who scores in spells and then none at all for a while. I'd rather both.
I'll say it again for you all that seem to be missing the point. He's great but he needs help, he's not a lead the line kind of guy and we'll never win leagues relying on him alone to score goals.Comment

Every striker misses good chances. 20 in a season is the benchmark for a top premiership striker and he's well on his way to achieving that. This 'he's not a goal scorer' is becoming a bit like the old zonal marking argument the media used to peddle - it doesn't stand up under scrutiny.
We need more goals from the other players in the team. We play with 3 forwards, and only 1 is scoring. We could do with a few more goals from midfield as well - Gerrard especially, as he's the one given most freedom to get forward.K ris90210Comment

Don't get me wrong you can't knock his numbers..not entirely sure what my point was to be honest
Perhaps he just needs some quicker thinkers in and around him, which is why i'm frothing at the gash thinking about Allen pushed further up the pitch

If he carries on at this ratio (6 goals in 9 games), he will end up with approximately 25 Premier League goals this season. I'd say that's more than enough for him to be contributing.Dividing goals scored by games played doesn't give an accurate picture of a strikers goalscoring habits does it
