i think it depends entirely on how rodgers wants to play and how many roles we have to fill.

I would say a striker is a must - someone who is mobile and can score goals. Then i would look at the wide positions. We simply cannot rely on suso and sterling for the entire season and its unfair to the lads themselves.

a right sided player and a left sided player to play as either wide players or inside forwards. If there's anything left over then a leftback.

But i worry what message this will send to the players in the squad like reina and gerrard.
