I doubt that Barcelona could afford him. We signed him for £22m and he is easily worth double that now and will probably be worth even more than that after this season.

I see Real Madrid as a more possible destination if he leaves.

I think that if he can stay fit then he could end up scoring 25+ league goals and make 15+ assists this season.

He is simply the most complete attacking player in the PL. He can both score and create a lot of goals. He almost work as hard as Kuyt do.

I doubt that there is that many of us that don't have him as Captain in our Fantasy PL team when we know that he will play because he could score a hattrick against whatever team we play against.

If we can keep him for next 2 years (to help us get into CL and than year after that to make us do well in CL) I'd be very happy. Antything more would be a huge plus.

In meantime let's sit back and enjoy his talent while we can as he's something special.

You never know but I'm afraid that there are some major obstacles in our way and in Barca's favor.

Cultural similarities, language, better climate just to name few but he could feel so welcomed and comfortable in Liverpool that he may take his time and gives us few good years before he decides what to do next.

who said it's not possible? I said he seems a loyal decent lad and as long as he's enjoying himself why would he go? (it's more about leaving next summer tbh)

I don't expect him to stay for his entire career but also not going to worry about him leaving just yet - we'll get a few seasons out of him at least.
