Agree, our indifferent form was expected, it's Brendan's first season and he's just getting to grips with the squad. FSG seem to be spending every window so I expect us to kick on pretty quickly from now on.

Yup, I agree with that. I think it will be telling on how well we do this second half of the season.

bit gutted we played most of the big teams at home ( and lost ) as would fancy our chances against anyone at Anfield now.

We're 7 points off the top 4 at the moment and if it wasn't for some crap refereeing decisions we'd most likely be 3 points off that.

We're a lot closer to CL worthiness than that mate.

That statement is up there with the 'Messi needs to win the World Cup to be considered truly world class'.

Do you think the Premier League is full of pub players?

Admittedly the CL contains (but sometimes doesn't) the cream of Europe but then look at how many good teams are in the Europa this year.

I just don't see Suarez as a glory hunting vagrant who will be lured by an easier chance to win trophies when he has a home here. If he did then he wouldn't have chosen us in the first place when we were in a worse position than now.

I wonder - do you factor in other poor refereeing decisions when saying we should be closer to 4th? Or is that poorly based on LFC games?

Does anyone here? Of course I am only talking about us but then those events only happened to us.

Few sides have had quite as ridiculous a denial of 3 points as we did in the Everton game. That was easily the worst officiating call of the season so far just for utter inexplicably. Normally I don't go with the "we should be better off" argument, but in this case we absolutely should have 2 more points, that one still stings imo.

Yep, it was criminal. A hard fought game against an in-form (long ball - that day) team and would've been a great ending and fully deserved.

It stings because sub-consciously the lino didn't want us to snatch it in the end and made a guesswork decision.

I'd settle for 5 points behind 4th place then

From what I've seen, we're a better team than Spurs. "The table does lie".
                              Are we winning?

We will hopefully prove that by stuffing them at home & get closer to 4th

                                & then Everton....
