Good old Press Association already reeled out an article on whether a character like Suarez who had an 8 game ban last season should be considered for the award and also add in the fact that he handballed against Ghana. Is it his fault that Gyan missed the penalty? Total idiots.

Don't believe in cutting people some slack. He took his punishment in both cases yet they still want to beat him with the stick

The Ghana thing is a total joke though. If an English player did that and it led to England winning the World Cup, he'd be held as a hero. Total hypocrites

        It'll be Bale.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I think he'll be second or possibly third.

Suarez wouldn't even win it if he scored 100 goals.

He is HATED. Football got nothing to do with it.

I don't think he really cares. We probably care more than he does. He's probably drinking out his flask and chilling as we speak

You could be right. My thinking is just that anyone who doesn't want him to win will vote for Bale as he's the logical "anyone but Suárez" candidate. Van Persie might get some genuine votes and a few anti-Suárez votes too.

And let's be honest there will be more than a few who wouldn't vote for Suárez if voting was compulsory and he was the only nominee.

Has anyone ever won the young player of the year and also the main player of the year award in the same year?

I think Suarez should win but Bale is a media favourite and RVP, Mata and even Carrick have all had really good seasons with RVP being a little out of form for a month or 2.

Hazard? Really? Don't think he's been good enough to be included in that list to be honest. Michu or Cazorla would have been my picks.

As much as I hate him, Rafael should be on the young player list.

Also should have Weimann ahead of Welbeck. His stats are far greater.
