I disagree that he's a dickhead. He's a nutjob but not a dickhead.

I just don't see why everyone's got themselves in a pickle over this. Ivanovic seems to be over it, so why can't we?

You say he's let us down but he's been immense for us this season. I don't see that as letting us down. This is the 3rd best player in the world we have and if Ivanovic has a) accepted his apology b)didn't make a big deal out of it after the game c)was not hurt, then we should just try and nip it in the bud and move on.

I've previously had a proper go earlier in the thread for Suarez' diving but he seems to have cut that out of his game (for the most part) and he shold be given credit for that as I think it had become 'natural' for him to do it.

In my book anyone who bites anyone ever is a dickhead, plain and simple. Fabulous player, and one who we should fight to hold onto because of his god given talent with a football, but in this case he deserves every bit of criticism imo and people trying to make light of it are only doing so because of massive red tinted specs. Lack of injury etc mitigates the punishment perhaps, but hardly justifies the action. You just do not go around biting people.

I don't think it's pre-meditated. He plays on the edge, extreme edge. It's whether the club can handle it. They brought him on the back of a biting incident, so it would be strange to sell him on the back of one

You just don't sell world class players, especially if you don't have many of them like us. These people saying we should sell him would give a few inches in an article praising us then would rip the p*ss out of us for months/years of mediocrity.

You could see it in his face a few seconds after the incident, you could see the exact moment it dawned on him what he'd just done. He looked devastated.

He needs to reflect on this and do something about it. I don't want to take away that spark of genius that he has, but he needs to find a way to harness it and use it in the right way. I think this is what Ayre was referring to in his statement today. Only this shouldn't be up to Rodgers to sort out, Suarez needs professional help with this.

I don't wish to compare, but if he'd been caught drink driving or something, i'd feel a lot worse about that, but i suspect many would feel far less like he let the club down, or that it was as serious.

I don't see it like that at all. I just think he has a very severe case of white line fever. I get that too. Normally I'm laid back, very placid and not remotely aggressive. Put me in a competitive football match and I want to fight everybody. Suarez has got it bad. A hugely extreme case of it. Everyone who knows him talks of what a sweet, loyal and humble guy he is. No way IMO can people make assumptions on his character based on how he behaves on a football pitch.
