I think Ashley Williams set the precedent here, he nearly killed RVO and got nothing. Ivanovic's life was never in danger.

Pleased to see a few journalists realising how up in arms everyone is about this and seemingly ignore, for example, McManamanananananan's tackle on Heidara.
The tackle is irrelevant. It was part of the game, he went and got the ball and followed through and got the player. Mistimed yes. Biting someone unless female and on the arse is a cunts trick.

Echo are saying 6-8 games. David Cameron wants FA to throw the book at Suarez. He never misses an opportunity does he. What an odious piece of ****e. Never known two guys more opportunistic than him and Osborne

Why doesn't he pass an emergency law so that Suarez can go to jail, much like he did with the rioters. Turd

12 games would show that the FA deem biting an opponent to be worse than racially abusing Evra.

The point is that biting someone is seen as being MORE dangerous than a full-blooded, high foot studs showing tackle right on the kneecap.

Yes it's a disgusting move and should absolutely be punished but, yet again, the FA show themselves up when they practically call in a lynch mob and a hangman for this yet let persistent dirty *******s off.

And ending someone's career with a knee-high tackle.
And elbowing someone right in the face.

The issue isn't with the ban. Suarez should be banned. But the FA are totally incompetent and hypocritical with the bans they dish out. They deemed Terry's racist incident no worse than violent conduct. If they give Suarez more than 8 games then they deem a bite worse than racism.

They are fools. Not really got any faith that he won't get more than 8 games. They're a joke

Rio elbowing Torres in the back of the head. The ref didn't see that. FA didn't deem it violent conduct. But a bite is worse than violent conduct? Really, how does that work?

No LFC fan has an issue with the ban. But the FA are totally clueless

I'm not sure they'll link the two, I think they'll use the fact he's got a history of this and use it as an opportunity to throw the book at him.

Pressure from externals I.e. press & the Manc influence will see a long ban IMO.

Nothing to do with more dangerous in my mind, it has no place in sport or life. Tackles are great and whether over the top or not they are very much part of football. Why are you trying to defend him? He is guilty of being a cunt. Accept the punishment and move on. Just like i admire the fact our players don't surround the ref like utd do, I want our players to have a certain standard. Old fashioned view obviously.

But that isn't right though is it. There was media pressure re. Terry but they totally balls'd that up and many said they would. It's borderline xenophobia. They treat foreign players totally different to their English darlings.

They had no issue going to defend Rooney over in Switzerland for violent conduct and campaigning to get his ban reduced

                                Absolutely.

I haven't seen one single fan ANYWHERE taking issue with him being banned - the collective problem, as you say, is that he'll be made an example of while others committing far deeds go relatively unpunished.

The Daily Fail has a ridiculous backpage, calling us spineless for not banning him while practically everyone else has "praised" our response. We've done everything we could realistically do.

Hmmm, I must have missed the part where I was defending Suarez. Could you kindly point it out for me?
