I assume that six from next season would include league cup? Think the FA are trying to trigger him to leave England. Sadly we can't appeal really. It would look bad. I think the ban is designed to say "we dare you to appeal and damage your reputation".

They have however made themselves look bad in that they considering biting worse than racism. Most people will see this as too harsh and agree Suarez is being victimized here. He may get some sympathy from the average fan.

We should issue a statement saying its harsh but we think an appeal is pointless.

How long would an appeal take though, and what are the odds of a significant reduction? As it stands now we're looking at 4 matches this season and six next, so if we delay the start of the ban then we could still end up with 6 for next season - or worse if it gets extended for taking the piss. Even if the ban isn't extended in the case of losing the appeal and remains at 10, we would have pushed some of this season's banned games onto next.
