Believe Suarez statement will reflect that he's sorry for offence, feels ban is excessive but doesn't see benefit in launching an appeal.

I'm hoping he is too stubborn to leave - like to think he'd leave on his own terms if he watned to rather than the FA forcing him out.

Yes the ban is not applicable to U21 matches as they are not considered as competitive official matches and we are allowed to use up to 3 players over that age.

Best decision all round that he hasn't appealed. Would only give the FA the opportunity to deny the appeal and make the ban longer.

Or maybe we're trying to be smart to help him regain a touch of reputation by having him alone "accept the punishment" with contrition. Seeing as we were never going to get anything out of an appeal anyway?

Or maybe he's leaving, ****ed if I know.

Just to clarify, I knew it wouldn't count towards the ban, I just wasn't sure if he (at his age) was allowed to play in an "U21" game.

It is absolutely pointless and the risk too great.

I think many of us have that same feeling

Maybe. Not convinced...hadn't thought of that, but maybe.

At this point everything is possible.

Either way he'll miss 15% of our PL games unless there are some FA or Capital One games early on...
