Club have backed him, he's under long term contract and he is a fighter. Decision is really ours in the end, but I think he'll stay. If we let him go, we want the money to get a replacement in to compete immediately, but not sure we can even find one given cost/interest. Again, FSG have stood by banned players before; assume they'll do so again here. He can't be replaced for the money.

I keep seeing articles about the summer window, citing £35m as "the price" for Suarez. Meanwhile Cavani looks likely to go for over £50m. Cavani isn't close to the player Suarez is. If Luis goes, Cavani's price should be the guide. Ask a thousand Uruguayan football fans who's the better player and a thousand would say Suarez.

I added an edit to my post. He can't be forced to go anywhere. And the club don't want to sell him. So if he leaves it will surely be on his terms. And that would surely mean leaving England.

If he has another season like this one (minus the disciplinary issues) then yes he'd be worth over £50m.

He won't stay in England imo. I think he could be offered a hell of a lot of money but his beef is with the FA and the press here and that would make him go abroad

Would be a savage blow to lose him, but City making a bid makes complete sense IMO.

Mancini publicly defending him, City having a major shake up of playing staff means they will recoup some hefty funds and take some big hitters off their wage bill.

Hopefully they stay away, but I just have a gut feeling they will be in for him.

I think the only way he will leave is if he wants to go. I know a few have issues with FSG, but I don't believe they are willing sellers. They need us to be successful on the pitch and they are clever enough to know that he is vital to that.
