It's how Barca and Real roll. They do it every summer with whichever big player they want. Mascherano was tapped up by Barca too

            Is he off then?

            I can't say I'm at all surprised.

He needs (deserves) CL footy. Shame we didn't achieve it this year and no guarantees for next. These are the years of his career when he can look to won all the big trophies. Hope we replace him with someone amazing, and just be glad he isn't going to someone else in the EPL.

two horrible clubs. Mascherano big time but Fabregas tapping up was ridiculous!

Once they put the feelers out.. players bite.

Big difference IMO. Suarez never gave us anything less than his all. He also won't be going to Chelsea.

If he goes it'll be no different to Alonso going, who is still loved by most.

He's too good for us, we've got to accept it.

If we had achieved CL qualification. IMO he would have still gone. The gutter press have seen to that

                      And the FA.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I have would never say i have 'loved' suarez as a person if you can actually do so as a fan.

Its a joy to watch his football ability but he was always a moaner and a whinger on the field, to his credit he got better at this but still had the odd brain explosion.

Michael Owen and Fernando Torres have ensured that i think its impossible for me to idolise a footballer in the same way i did. The only exception being stevie G.

I understand why Suarez would want to leave and wouldn't bear any grudge against him if he did so. its a bit **** because of support the club has given him when he has been in the wrong but most people are selfish when it comes down to the important things in life.

Chaps, is it possible to try and have a sense of perspective here? Instead of castigating him already for what he might have said and the probability that he may go. Can we hold off judging him until he goes for sure?
                                Are we winning?
