I don't get this £30-35m bids from Arsenal. Do they really expect to get Suarez for that when players like Hulk, Cavani and Falcao have all gone for £50m plus. They haven't had as good a season as Suarez and he is only 1 year into his contract.

Would they really try taking the piss that much? Or are they aware of something we don't know.

My take on it is that they have no intention of signing Luis or any player that is worth over 15m, the bids for Higuain, Luis, plus Wenger publicly stating that they can afford Rooney's wages is all an attempt to appease the Arsenal fans who are fed up with Wenger's tight fisted nature. Selling season tickets is probably an aim of this ploy too.
They are making stupid bids that they know won't be accepted and when 1st September rolls around and they haven't signed any real quality Wenger and the board will tell the fans ''well we tried oh so hard to sign big players but the transfer market is very difficult ect.''

Suarez comes with baggage though. This is the third season out of the last four that he's missing a significant number of games through extraordinary discipline related suspension (4 of 4 if you count the two games last season). Like it or not, that affects his perceived value.

No way does anyone stump up 50M for him.
