It's turning into a bit of a circus though isn't it. Threatens to derail the whole season before it's even started. I just can't see us getting any top quality replacements in if we do sell him. That's the problem. No CL football and then no Suarez either. Becomes even less of an attraction. I know the club are struggling

I'm not sure that it is really relevant how it feels. Perhaps that was the only deal that looked like it might be possible to close early. Every summer all teams make a big thing about getting their business done early and still a great deal of big signings happen in the week before/after the season starts.

I really see no sense in getting too worried or excited until something happens or the transfer window shuts.

Exactly. It's how it appears anyway. I'm well aware there might be loads going on behind the scenes, but it really looks as if him rejecting us knocked us back for six, and we're still unsure who to move on next.

To be honest you would have to say that a/ what we need and b/ how much money we have to get it is heavily dependent on whether Suarez stays or goes. Clearly we though HM was an exceptional deal for whatever reason.

This place seems to have become so depressed since we didn't sign one player none of us had ever seen before. There is over a month of the transfer window left open. Stop being so silly.

Well technically he can't play in the first 6 games so we'd be no worse off until the end of September
