If we start winning stuff again, players will want to leave less. That's the reality of things.
    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

i would have thought we would hold on to him for a bit longer than that.

part of it will be who is available and their cost at the time

This summer is crucial in the transfer market. And for Agger and Gerrard to seriously, and hopefully permenantly, get over their injuries.

I wonder what an attacking force consisting of Sterling, Suso, Suarez, Carroll and Kuyt would be like?

I'll hazard a guess as I haven't seen either of them play.

madrid and barcelona can bid whatever they want. we dont have to sell anybody. torres left because he wanted to and we got 50m for him.

lets not get carried away. this season defenders dont really know about suarez' strengths but next season they will. thats not to say they can stop him but torres was very very good for at least a couple of seasons. suarez has been here 3 or 4 months so theres no point starting a suarez wankfest.

however he has been very very impressive and once we get gerrard back, another few signings then we might see a new world superstar.

true but we would destroy every team with those 2 added to our squad.

How do you defend against such an intelligent quick footed player? It's virtually impossible. Defenders can study his movement as much as they like, he's so unpredictably brilliant that it won't make any difference.

i agree with that however you cant ignore the pull of barca and madrid for south american players.

and that the club is being run with a view to selling players at a certain point and reinvesting that money in replacements.

His movement reminds me of Owen at his peak a bit, especially the way he times his runs. He's a much better player though, does much more than just score.

It won't make a difference if your good enough then you can do it year in year out. Kenny Dalglish would agree.
