I also love that every time he scores a goal the same people pop up in this thread to have a pop at people who dared to have a different view on Suarez's goals return to themselves.

It's ****ing tedious and turning me right off this place.

He's doing great now and we are all chuffed about it but you'd be retarded to think he was always doing great on the scoring front.

If I'm one of them ****ers then
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Well feel free to call me Joey Deacon then, As far as i am concerned he has always scored goals for us and its never been an issue 17 goals in 39 games last year. Not to shabby a return.

You need only read back through the thread to see who I'm referring too, I've no idea if your one of them, it's just every time he scores we get "not bad for someone who can't finish" or "sell him he's ****". They aren't aimed at me cos I never once said either of those things but it's still tedious reading it.

What I have said is what RedReet directly referred to without naming me as the one who said it. He has been entirely inconsistent up to now and I'm well chuffed he's putting that behind him. He was very wasteful in the past but things change, much like opinions can.

I'm an advocate of playing him behind a prolific 9 but if he keeps going the way he is I wouldn't move him

Thing is a vocal group of people wanted him sold because they thought he was incapable of putting a run together/scoring regularly. To me and others it was entirely obvious that the goals would come sooner rather than later and that he clearly could finish. Now of course he's proving it so it will be commented upon. I don't think it's having a pop - it's just a part of the ongoing discussion and debate, and of course having a bit of a laugh at the expense of those who rubbished him.

                ****er and proud

It was tedious when the same people where picking on him as well, anyone suggesting he should be sold was just insane. I've defended him since day one and im sure if he was having a terrible season the same group would be giving it the "I told you so" ****

Must admit I found it tedious and ridiculous. He was our best player then and yet people came out with that stuff. Ah well, he's still our best player - by a country mile - and no-one's on his case at the moment so all is good

Well I never suggested him being sold or that he "can't finish",my views are here for all to see so I'll try to ignore this tedious crap popping up,hopefully after every game we play .

To be fair I only ever saw one mention of selling him and I don't know if many said he can't finish,I may be wrong on that.Plenty said he doesnt do it often enough buts that's changing thankfully

Not wanting to be a pedant but Joey Deacon had cerebral palsy, there was nothing slightly retarded about him

Thankyou, if only I knew that when I was under 10 and everyone was a Joey, I could have pointed out the error of the ways although I think the Melvin Squad would of then had a field day with me!!

                          Melvin Squad

We had a load of people call them 'wedgies' later on but I didn't embrace that new-fangled crap. It was and always will be a Melvin

Personally I think it’s worthwhile pointing out factual inaccuracies, especially when people are so quick to jump on the bandwagon when criticising players. I have no problem with different opinions, as long as it’s an educated opinion and not something just made up to suit someone’s argument. Specifically with this point people (I don’t know if you were one of them) were saying things like you can’t rely on Suarez to score goals because ‘we won’t be playing Norwich every week’, when the stats clearly prove (if anybody had bothered checking) that he does indeed spread his goals out, probably more so than any other PL striker.

I doubt you’re that interested, but directly before the Norwich game last year a lot of Suarez posts were focused on his inability to finish/score, so the response after his well taken hat-trick was inevitable.

Ironically a similar trend was building before this years Norwich game too.

My point about him spreading his goals out that I made a few weeks back was specifically related to this season and was entirely valid. I am nonetheless absolutely chuffed that since I said it he's made me look a total goon
