Lot of anger at the Etihad about being linked with Suarez. MCFC think LFC are trying to create a market for their most prized asset

It was. No doubt in my mind at all about that. You make it out like we were in control of the situation and sold him, but the fact was HE wanted to leave because WE did not keep promises. Yes we got £50m for him but we spunked it in a display of spending that would have shamed drunken sailors all over the world.

If we had sold him early on in the window, got £50m and spent it wisely and with an overall strategy I would agree with you. But the fact is we did show a lack of ambition and if we are not careful this scenario it could repeat itself.

Torres was slowly coming back to his best for us and Kenny was making him (and us) believe again. You can spin it however you like mate but IMO it was clearly a move we did not want to make. Selling our No.1 striker to a rival is something this club should never ever have to do again.

We just got lucky that Torres has not worked out for Chelsea. Softened the blow, but trust me it ws a massive blow, £50m or not.

I don't see Suarez not going to another English Club coming down to loyality to us - I just think the abuse that they have given him, he'd think twice about it.

Contrary to stuff being leaked by Liverpool, City have absolutely no interest in Luis Suarez

Really disturbing if the concensus of opinion is that LFC are leaking this info.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Suarez story written by Merseyside-based reporters. Clearly briefed by LFC. What the motive is for misinformation is a matter of conjecture

City's top brass would say that though. There is clearly some sort of power struggle going on, involving Mancini, Txiki, Marwood et al. No way would the club make this **** up. We wouldn't, would we...?

When I saw the curfuffle about 'a transfer story' last night, my instinct was that it would be via some sort of briefing from LFC. It's in the Daily Post after all. So my second instinct was that it must be about an incoming transfer. Why would you brief anything else? Unless you are trying to smoke somebody out for some reason.
                              Oh I don't know.

This is the scariest part of it all for me. If we haven't been leaking this info I would expect some kind of official comment from the club.
