Not compared to what he'd get if he was to leave though, I think if there is a club willing to meet what we want for him he'll go. He was very happy at Ajax too but left because of ambition, hopefully we'll manage to keep hold for one more year.

I hope he gives us one more season, but tbh it would be no surprise to see him go.

I think it's going to be a long summer of rumours, ITK Tweets and articles to sift through.

I also find all the recent 'leaks', LFCTV shows and whatnot, to be rather curious and can't help but think we're softening the blow.

I'll be gutted if we sell Suarez - it will severely weaken the team, send out the wrong messages on many levels and it'll be just plain ****.

That article doesn't read quite right for me, I'd love to see the original transcript and see what he actually said and in the context he said it.

We are going to have bids in the summer it will all depend on how much and from whom.

He did a similar interview not that long ago.

Also, bear in mind that it's an international break, and there isn't much to talk about.

It's the same with Ronaldo earlier in the season at Real Madrid. His agent leaked a story about him not wanting a new contract as it will be the main headline for the duration of the international break.

There's nothing to talk about, so let's bombard a Luis Suarez interview. We all know he'll probably leave in the next 2 years, it's just when. Unless we catapult ourselves into acquiring regular Champions League football, then it's going to happen.

Just enjoy him while he's here.

Reckon he's off myself can't blame him really as we are nowhere near his level but **** me it would be a dark day as it would confirm the demise of what was the greatest team world at one point
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

Luis Suarez: Liverpool '100% certain' striker will stay at Anfield

Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre says the club are certain striker Luis Suarez will remain at Anfield.
Ayre told BBC Radio 5 live that comments attributed to the Uruguayan hinting at an exit "may have been a bit lost in translation".
The 26-year-old is reported to have said he would consider leaving Anfield if a team playing in the Champions League were interested in his services.
"He has a four-year contract. We hope he will see it through," added Ayre.
Suarez signed for Liverpool from Ajax for £22.7m in January 2011 and has scored 29 goals for the club this campaign.
But he is yet to play in the Champions League for the Reds and qualification for the tournament again looks unlikely this season.
He is reported to have said: "If another team comes around with more prospects of competing in international club competition games, which is willing to have [me], they are welcome.
"We would talk to the club, and we would see if I want to go [or] if I don't want to go."
But Ayre, asked whether he was 100% confident of keeping hold of the player, replied: "Yes, absolutely.

                        More to follow.

Posed with that question he could hardly say anything else. If they'd said 'put your house on the line and state Luis will stay' then he'd be shifting in his chair like anything

We should (and i think will) make him stay. If at the end of next season, we don't make the champions league at a minimum, then I think he might head off with the clubs blessing - but only after he has a fab world cup in South America and further inflates his transfer fee......something like £60m for a player that is 27/28 then would be okay....

All bets are off if he has a release clause.......

With regards the lazy jouno though, that is pathetic!!!

Question: "would you like to win titles and play in the champions league"
                              Suarez: "definately......that would be great"

Headline: "Suarez tells KOP, "I'm off to a team that wins titles and plays in the CL"

                                Hope and certain

It isn't big news - we have one of the world's top players and we're probably not going to be in Europe next season. Of course he'll consider offers - just as he did last summer.

At least we've put a marker in the sand when it comes to selling a big name striker - we'll be holding out for £50m if Luis does leave.
