200,000 views and counting of that video of him punching Jara and it has been less than 12 hours since it went up.

He is a truly British Press Enemy No. 1

I agree he gets a hard time but he's just punched a player ffs, **** behaviour and he pulled that **** for us I'd be seriously pissed off. No excusing him on this one.

          Well...

If it was any other player from the PL, I would expect that to be same.

At some point he has to grow up, take responsibility for his actions and his role in the team and stop acting like a bit of a tit.

And as for the press, aside from whether their opinion is remotely relevant (it's not imo*), they have largely been praising him for his performances this season. Sure, when he's done something which is outside the rules of the game, it's been highlighted. But he's made a rod for his own back there. Deal with it.

I just don't get all bleating about this.

          * My opinion is just as relevant as everybody else's, be it on here or elsewhere. i.e. it is utterly irrelevent.
          Oh I don't know.

I'm not defending him as throwing a punch cannot be justified but I do disagree that the amount of coverage he gets when he is in trouble is similar to other high profile players who found themselves in the similar circumstances.

Van Persie elbowed Cabaye and British Press barely mentioned and followed that story.

                      It's happened on occasions.

                      Never like that though.

                        Of course not.

If your intent is to truly hurt someone by punching them, you don't do it the way Suarez did.

Obviously he's wrong to do it, but everything with him is blown out of all proportion, and as far as instances of violence on a football pitch go, this is pretty low down the scale imo.

Now if that had connected it would have hurt.

That's the logical vote - wonder how many will vote for RVP and Bale.
