If say....Messi was banned for the first 20 games of next season, but it meant we could sign him, and we'd then have him for the forseeable, i'd be more than happy with that, i suspect many clubs would too, same will apply with Luis. imo..

Mike Tyson says Luis Suárez will make up with Branislav Ivanovic

Mike Tyson believes the Liverpool forward Luis Suárez will make up with Branislav Ivanovic - just as the former world boxing champion did with Evander Holyfield.

Suárez is facing an extended ban from the Football Association for biting the Chelsea defender Ivanovic on the arm in Sunday's 2-2 draw at Anfield. Tyson was involved in similar controversy when he bit off a chunk of Evander Holyfield's ear in the WBA heavyweight title fight between the two in 1997.

The Americans have since settled their differences and Tyson is confident Suárez and Ivanovic will do the same.

He told the David Glenn radio show in America: "He [Suárez] bit someone, it happens. I am sure he will make amends with this guy. I made amends with Evander and we got on with our lives."

Tyson started to follow Suárez on Twitter when he heard of the weekend incident.

He added: "I saw this guy [Suárez] on the Twitter thing and thought I would check it out and see what his journey was all about."

Suárez, who has been fined by Liverpool, called Ivanovic late on Sunday to apologise for his actions.

The crucial part of that sentence is "as soon as he scores"....

He pinches people and gives them verbals for the same reason, he does it all the time. Like Neville said, he has this street rules mentality to this sort of stuff. He appears to take it as just another part of the game to get good at.

I don't like it at all, can't stand it. I do think we blow it out of proportion though, intentionally hurting someone is far more serious in my mind.
It's about the mentality behind it. A rush of blood, a sudden loss of control due to anger I can understand even if I find it disgusting. Yes, biting someone intentionally as a tactic is far worse for me. And I can't really see it in the same light as verbals or pinching. Seeing the look on his face though I don't believe he did do it for that reason. We're just going to have to disagree on this one.

Sounds like Joey Barton to me.

I think the two of them have very similar issues. Barton was generally regarded as a ******, then people soften their stance towards him after his gestures re Hillsborough and what appeared to be genuine remorse.

Now, he seems to have crossed the line too many times for most people to have sympathy towards him.

Where is that line? It's up to you I guess.
                        Oh I don't know.
