Sorry to shatter your we-are-the-moral-guardians-of-the-football-world illusion but incidents like Heysel burst that balloon a long time ago; Suarez hasn't come close to causing as much damage as that caused us.Of course it's not clearly measurable! It can't be an accepted wisdom if you haven't accepted it either. You're also asking me to prove something you know I can't prove just to win an online debate
But I think most people would agree that Liverpool Football club is in some way now synonymous with racism in football. I've had "fans" of other clubs throw it at me time and time again to wind me up and it's maddening.
So far we've handled this situation much better, and although it hasn't helped with the verdict, the club seem to be coming off much better for it.
I grew up as a kid being proud to be a Liverpool fan not only for our on the field success but also for the principles the club stood for. We did things the right way, people looked up to us as standard bearers.
I just feel Suarez has single handedly made a dent in that reputation (yes it's subjective) and fans shouldn't let him off just because he's good. That's all.Comment

How did they arrive at 10? Let's wait for the 'written report'.
If it says it's 7 + 3 which is 7 from the last time he got for biting someone + 3 more this time, that'd be a ****ing disgrace.
How and why should the previous 7 games come into picture when he has served them?
Bunch of ****ing cnuts the guys at F.A.Patience when teased often, transforms into rageComment

We have to appeal and take it all the way if necessary. He's clearly being victimised with the severity of the ban, even if he was/is stupid for giving them the opportunity.
I don't think it'll force him out. A front three of Sturridge, Coutinho and Sterling/Downing will cope well enough in his absence for 6 games at the start of next season, and with us standing by him as a club I think he'll stay loyal and give us another season to try and get into the CL.Comment

That front line looks a bit limp without Suarez. We'll see.We have to appeal and take it all the way if necessary. He's clearly being victimised with the severity of the ban, even if he was/is stupid for giving them the opportunity.

Thing is with Luis, we might have lost him through injury given the reliance the team had on him early in the season. This could be a time out for him. I just hope he doesn't feel like, or is advised to leave for another country.
Safe to say though, he won't ever do a Torres, will he?Comment
can't even compete with them now
