Right'o out of severe boredom I've had a little look into things that I feel are just as bad or worse and their respective bans.

Luis Suarez - Racism on Patrice Evra - 8 Games
John Terry - Racism on Anton Ferdinand - 4 Games
Ryan Shawcross - Ramsey Leg Break - 3 Games
Sergio Aguero - Stamp on Luiz - No Charge
Callum McManaman - Terrible tackle on Haidara - No Charge
Wayne Rooney - Elbowing James McCarthy - No Charge
Adebayor - Kicking Van Persie in the face - 3 Games
Ben Thatcher - Dreadful elbow on Pedro Mendes - 8 Games
Joey Barton - Sent off, Kicked Aguero, Tried to headbutt Kompany - 12 Games
Marouane Fellaini - Headbutting Ryan Shawcross - 3 Games

There is obviously a few more. But 10 games looks more and more excessive.

Massive one you missed was Duncan Ferguson 3 months in jail for a headbutt sanctioned by the Scottish Justice system saying that violence / assault on a sports field should not be omitted for the courts!

Yep - if the FA had wanted they could have acted and banned Defoe. FIFA have said a few times the FA aren't restricted at all.

They acted in the Thatcher incident - but no others.

I really didn't think it would be double figures.

The only way I can explain it to myself is that there are plenty in the FA who want Suárez to be playing elsewhere as he "damages their product" or some other godawful reason for why they don't like him.

Even MPs recognise the FA isn't up to the job. But thanks to FIFA rules even they can't do anything about it without FIFA immediately suspending all English teams. It's a multi-billion business and it's run like a private club.

I completely agree. I have no doubt whatsoever that decisions have been made at high levels that the book should be set on fire and launched at Suarez for every **** up he makes in an effort to get him out of the PL/England. The fact that he's guaranteed to **** up every once in a while doesn't help but there's a definite agenda here.

I've judt noticed thay the 3 players to have received the longest bans given by the FA all have played for MU. 2 received the ban when actually playing for them. And I'd hazard a guess Bosnich was probably on the bliw when at them

Just ban from holidays.. Suarez just doesn't learn. It's his history that will be taken into account when these bans are handed out. The guy just has a bit of crazy in him unfortunately.

For me the 10 games is excessive though and just another example of the joke that is the FA. I'm more concerned about how this will impact the start of Liverpool coming season... that is if Suarez stays.. which i just genuinely cannot see happening. If he's not gone in the summer, he'll be gone in the january window IMO.

That's the thing though, his past shouldn't play a part.

The FA aren't supposed to use the incident with Ajax as an indicator, and neither has Suarez been involved with violent conduct in this country before Sunday.

It should be 3 games minimum, with extra for bringing the game into disrepute or something along those lines. The FA are an utter abomination.
