    That article is spot on.

Great to see so many journalists (even some of the rubbish ones too, Oliver Holt ) putting this into perspective.

The FA must have thought this was an easy chance to improve their own image, instead they continue to be called out for being the bunch of pricks that they are.

Why? One good reason why saying something is better than saying nothing. That's all I ask.

I mean better for the situation, not better for Gordon Taylor.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hmm, I know what you're getting at but I doubt the bigwigs at the FA give a sh*t about the reaction of journalists. They're placemen, committee men, timeservers and backscratchers who treat it like their own private club. I bet they're a bunch of self-important knobs who see their image very differently to how it looks from here.

And they'll have placated Cameron (who eagerly seized his opportunity to spout off on a subject that he can't be held responsible for) so that will make them feel good about keeping in with other powerful interests.

Do you think Gordon Taylor feels he should be seen to be doing the right thing (defending the victim) rather that actually doing the right thing (privately speaking to both parties and offering help)

Why are there so many gob****e ex-Liverpool players? It's baffling and disappointing. Very poor form indeed.

              But, Brendan Rodgers

It's disappointing, Redknapp and Souness had a cracking chance to help us out and set the tone of it being worth punishment but not really that bad, instead they pretty much wanted him hanged.

Should these ex players lie then say things they don't agree with?

To be fair they called it as they and many others saw it.

They went ridiculously overboard and Souness hypocrisy and use of Hillsborough was despicable.

@OliverKayTimes: Equally, FA commission stated that Ferguson's "record, which included several misconduct charges" counted towards 5-game t/line ban in 2011
