Even though I feel he owes us, to have the worlds biggest and most successful club in for him, from a country where his own language is the native tongue, where he has family living over there and to have possibly a once in a lifetime chance if going....... Who could blame him.

But this constant stream of bull**** about press persecution is ridiculous. The vast majority of it, he's brought on himself.

Handling on the line in the World Cup v Ghana was his choice, as was biting the PSV and Chelsea players. Diving and play acting was his choice. Winding up Evra, racial or not, was his choice.

I know there are players who cheat more (Bale). There are players who have bitten the opposition (Defoe). There are players who have been crazier (Cantona). There have been players who have cheated as much in world cups (Maradona, Rivaldo). There have even been players who have been proved to say racist words (Terry).

But Suarez has pretty much done the lot. And that's why he's hated and called a horrible scumbag. And it's all his own doing.
fabulous player but all above is true.

      yes, agree with the above

lets face it, if he wasn't such a great player, he'd have been shown the door by now because of his antics

Agree with Danny. Suarez is being totally dishonest.

I would still be slightly pissed off at him if he'd said the reason was wanting to play in the Champions League, because quite frankly the way the club and fans have backed him over his misdemeanours, he should show some loyalty and stay a year and then leave if we still haven't made Top 4. Missing or being suspended for 20 odd games through petulant behaviour is piss poor and frankly shows he doesn't deserve to be playing at the highest level. Being a great player is as much about mentality as well as ability. He has one but is severely lacking in the head.

I'm a huge fan of his and loved the guy. His passion, goals, workrate etc. But I find this hugely insulting to the fans and the club, so for me, if we get an offer in excess of £50m, I'd sell him

That was meant to be highly sarcastic.

In any case, I think we're speculating ad nauseam without the full facts other than what is being reported by the press. I can't see the point in this until concrete information is released and by concrete, I mean official press releases from either side.

Speculating doesn't help this discussion at all.

              Ah sorry!

In all seriousness though, I can see this dragging for a couple months now. It's the way Real Madrid do their business in these kinds of deals

Of course, they've been doing it all the time. From my perspective, Suarez's comments last week was clearly of a frustrated individual and now he's in his homeland, it's easier for him to talk a bit more easily/freely about what has surely been building for a while.

Been listening to a few journos. Graham Hunter who is pretty clued up on the Spanish game has said the quotes/interviews are pre-planned by Suarez and his agent. Apparently,Real wanted Cavani but were priced out. So then turned to Suarez but have told Suarez to force the move as they won't pay top price for him. Hence his interviews.

Suarez has been pretty badly advised and has acted a tool to be honest. Sometimes I even wonder if the bite was a deliberate part of the plan. Was just totally unprovoked and out of the blue when you think about it. To do it twice is very odd

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

How do you know he's bad mouthed the club? As I said, I'd rather believe a translation from a fellow Uruguayan than from someone who's got a BA in Spanish translation from a UK newspaper.

You've got to understand that he's gone through a lot of **** since he's come here, starting with the Evra incident. Of course he'll vent out his frustrations if asked or pushed in for his opinion in his homeland.
