I don't think you can go off what is said in the papers, the people interviewing the players will certainly have an agenda, be that just to be get a big story or to get a particular outcome. They will manipulate the interview by asking a series of seemingly innocent questions which build up to something big at the end and then just print the final answer as the story.

The entire episode is not as simple as you make it out to be. Suarez is not an innocent 15 year old kid. Suarez and his agents knew exactly what they were getting into when he made those statements. Given his profile they knew that even a slightest hint would be embellished.

He wants to move to Madrid, that much is clear. Suarez and his agents have tried to engineer a move through the press. He is looking after this own interest and his career, that’s fine with me.

I am a little bit surprised by Madrid’s silence in the entire saga. It appears he is their third or fourth choice and they would not mind signing him on the cheap. I don’t think they want to spend upwards of 40 million on him. Madrid and Barca players are not shy of going to the press.

Ayre and company need to ensure that the move occurs on our terms. The worst thing which could happen in this saga is Suarez openly agitating for a move with Madrid offering 15 million pus Nunez junior.

I don't think biting someone is any worse than making a two footed tackle but that is my opinion. It is weird to do it but not as bad as media make it out to be.
