He's been incredibly disrespectful to a club that's showed him incredible loyalty by repeatedly flirting with any club that shows an interest in him. I don't see how anyone, even those that like to dig their head in the sand and deny it all (hello Nige
), could fail to see that.
Just another dickhead footballer I'm afraid.Comment

Totally agree with this. The club and individuals have been drawn through the mud defending him. He wants out, fair enough, but have some class about it. I'm just glad I was never emotionally invested in Suarez. After the Torres debacle I will never view a footballer as anything other than someone who comes in to do a job and then moves on when the time and money is right. He's been incredibly disrespectful to a club that's showed him incredible loyalty by repeatedly flirting with any club that shows an interest in him. He has no loyalty to the club. He is 100% focused on playing at the highest level, a level he doesn't believe he'll get to while playing in our colours.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Not even Arsenal can attract the best players and they play in the CL. The young up and coming players use them as a stepping stone. The last team to break into the top 4 without a billionaire funding it were Spurs. They did that mostly by signing up and coming players like Bale and Modric (big fees perhaps but they were by no means "proven").
I just don't understand who these "proven" players, these marquee signings are actually supposed to be. Without the megabucks to convince them to come on money alone, can you give me some examples of players you think we should actually be signing who are both realistic, and are guaranteed to deliver more than promising youngsters? Genuine question...
It is a very big risk that our young up and coming player will do the same, use us as a stepping stone. If they develop a lot CL clubs will make bids and I can't see them staying if we don't qualify for the CL.
You only need to see at the Suarez saga how important the CL is. Would he even think of leaving if we had qualified for the CL? Most probably no.
We would get in a lot of money but the players we sign would most probably use us as a stepping stone if they develop a lot and we miss out on the CL.
In our situation short term is more important than long term. We must sign players that can take us back to the CL this season and not maybe in two or three years time because then it could be to late.
I see this season as one of our most important ever. Miss out on the CL and almost no top class player will believe in Rodgers project. Then it will be five years in a row without CL football, FIVE years. Half a decade.
We would then lose even more ground to the best clubs out there.
Rodgers project looks promising but that is all it is, promising. We don't know if it will work or not yet. This season we will get the answer.
We are in the catch 22 situation and we must solve it.
Examples of players? Well we can almost forget the marquee players because of no CL football four years in a row. Jovetic is probably the only realistic one and he isn't that realistic.
Michu, he isn't a one season wonder. He was one of the best players in Spain when he left and was one of the best players in the PL last season.
Robben. Bayern want to sell him. **** attitude but a fantastic player.
Khedira. Would probably not cost that much and is a realistic signing.
Soldado. Valencia need the money and he is available.
Pedro from Barcelona. Won't get much playing time now when they signed Neymar.
Banega. Valencia need the money. Excellent midfield playmaker.
Höwedes. Plays for Schalke. Excellent central defender.
Bender. Plays for Leverkusen.
A few examples.Stop the cyberhate

Exactly, which is fine. We all knew that if we didn't get in the Champions League soon we'd be pushing our luck to keep him. But it's the way he's going about forcing the move that stinks. Show some class Luis just as Liverpool have shown their class to you.Comment

We need to at least try and sign marquee players to show that we are at least trying to do things short term. That we want to qualify for the CL as soon as possible.
If we don't then it send out the signal that we know that it is pointless to even try to sign them because of the no CL football four years in a row.
We must show ambition and a lot of it.Stop the cyberhate

Zactly.
Don't disagree with him wanting to leave - that's his prerogative - but do it with a little class and without ****ting in the faces of your current fans and employers.Comment
