Frightening to think about an Arsenal team with Suarez on the pitch.
He could sign for Arsenal but I think it is highly unlikely for 2 reasons

    1. For a while Wenger has had to sell to buy (Cazorla, Giroud and Podolski for example were bought with the money from the sales of RVP and Song) there are no indications that Arsenal will be selling any of their best players this Summer so where is the money coming from to buy Suarez ?

    2. The fact that they haven't and don't look like signing Higuain(a player who wants out of Real) would make me think that perhaps Wenger is reluctant to cough up the necessary money because of his well known tightfistedness. If that's the case then I don't see them spending over 40 million for Luis.

I think they have finished paying for the stadium now? Which would mean a load more wedge knocking about.

Possibly but even with paying for the stadium you would think that they would have had at least 5-10 million net per summer in recent years but instead they've constantly either made a massive profit or broke even in the transfer market.
Perhaps this is the summer when they finally spend or perhaps Wenger is an old skinflint who is more interested in balancing the books than spending, he has a degree in economics after all.

I'd swear someone said Arsenal would be favourites to win the league if they signed Suarez.

Surely my eyes are deceiving me. Absurd statement.

Well he'll probably miss at least 9 games next season so I very much doubt it

With Arsenal the only club we can realistically target to knock out of the top four, why in the name of god would we sell them the premierships best player?? 50m plus Wilshere - then we might agree to answer their phonecalls.

If we were stupid enough to sell him to Arsenal, they could easily claim that money back by getting into CL again.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If he was sold to Arsenal that would be a damning indictment of the people running our club.

Evening standard reporting that arsenal have increased their bid.

I'm generally very positive about our owners but if we sell to Arsenal, whatever the price, I will be dubious about the future. We'd be better off giving him to Madrid.

But there is a tense change in between.
